The menu at Nuxie's Kitchen features a range of enticing mains that exemplify the beauty of Caribbean cooking. Notable highlights include:
- Curried Goat - Boneless and cooked to perfection with fresh herbs, spices, onions, and fiery scotch bonnets, this dish promises a delightful heat balanced with rich flavors, served alongside rice and peas or chips.
- Jerk BBQ Ribs - Tender, slow-cooked pork ribs richly marinated in Caribbean herbs and spices, finished with a smoky BBQ sauce that ignites the taste buds.
- Curried Prawns - A sumptuous mix of prawns, fresh peppers, onions, tomatoes, and aromatic spices, enveloped in creamy coconut milk.
The kid's menu doesn’t shy away from flavor either, offering delightful options like Kids Curry Chicken and Goujon, catering to even the young diners with a taste for adventure.
Customer reviews reveal the dining experience that Nuxie's Kitchen strives to deliver. Diners remark on the generous portion sizes and the rich flavor profiles of the dishes, with Lerone praising the Boneless Curry Goat as 'a good level of spice throughout and simply delicious'. Meanwhile, Jessica Jeffers echoes this sentiment, exclaiming that the curried goat was so exquisite it could stand alone as a star dish.
It's worth noting that while many patrons rave about the kitchen's ability to deliver a taste of Jamaica to their plates, not everyone finds the offerings to their expectations. A contrasting review from Skinny Stef suggests that the authenticity may not reach the heights of those deeply familiar with traditional Caribbean fare. However, even during slower service days, the friendly staff and the tantalizing aromas drifting from the kitchen create a warm, inviting atmosphere that encourages return visits.
With its welcoming vibe and commitment to quality, Nuxie's Kitchen emerges as a noteworthy contender in the food scene, inviting both locals and visitors alike to indulge in its spirited offerings. Whether you're in for a hearty meal or seeking a comforting takeaway, this establishment is sure to have something that resonates with your love for Caribbean flavors.

When the owner David told me I will need to wait mins for my Rice & Peas I knew this was going to be a good experience if they were sold out and I definitely was not disappointed! The portion sizes were really big for what you pay for with lots of flavour throughout.I went for the Boneless Curry Goat with dumplings and Plantain. The curry was really good with a good level of spice throughout and melt in the mouth meat. The Rice & Peas was just how should be and not over or undercooked. The plantain was really sweet and caramelised to perfection and the dumplings WOW! Nice and soft and that distinct flavour. They probably taste better because the chef made them fresh in front of me so to be fair a minute wait for a really good meal was definitely worth it.Whilst waiting these guys had lots of orders for collection and delivery so be quick before they are sold out, will definitely return again

Ordered from here last night, curried goat, stew chicken and some fritters. We have ordered from here before and typically the food arrives before the Just eat ETA but it was very late this time. I called up and the team couldn't have been nicer or more appologetic.Everyone has a bad day every now and then and you dealt it brilliantly. Keep up the great workPS, the new round tubs with the lids are a vast improvement over the old ones.

Blown away with this food, we ordered a takeaway and although we had to wait a little longer than expected, absolutely worth the wait!Piping hot food, gorgeous curried goat and jerk chicken, insane flavours and even the rice and peas that were a side could easily stand alone as a meal. One of the best takeaways I've ever had, highly recommend!

Food was extremely mediocre and % not authentic Caribbean. Flavours were lacking, everything I ate even down to the rice and peas just wasn’t quite right. Maybe for these areas it must be working due to the high number of good reviews but for someone with a Caribbean background who knows what real flavours are meant to come through, these guys have definitely missed the mark unfortunately. I won’t be back.
